BIG CHANGE ON BURGER NIGHT!

Friday nights, 5:00-8:00pm

We will stop taking orders for burger night at 7:30pm, not 8:00pm, starting this week. Back when we first started this neighborhood event, we only had a few folks that would come and enjoy delicious grilled burgers. This summer we are serving 3 times the number of burgers we have in the past (not that we’re complaining) and in order to provide the best service, we realized we need to stop taking orders at 7:30. This way everyone has a chance to get a burger and a drink, and maybe do some shopping, before we close the market at 8:00pm. So come one, come all! Just come a little earlier.

Ash is going to Pinot Camp!

That’s right, Ashley is heading to the heart of Oregon wine country, where she’ll learn the history, lore, and legends of some of America’s greatest wines: Oregon Pinots. A Word of Assurance from Marczyk Fine Foods re: The Whole Foods E. Coli Ground Beef Recall

Good news for our customers: we grind all our beef here at the market from whole muscle cuts. This includes any and all the beef for burgers, meatballs, and meatloaf. According to an industry on-line article, “ground beef (i.e. beef ground at the meat processing plant) is the leading source of E. coli infections in the U.S.” Marczyk’s grinds all our beef here, both for taste and safety reasons. Jimmy the butcher wanted to be sure to mention love. We put love in our burgers. We appreciate the trust you have in Marczyk Fine Foods. Thank you for your business.

Can’t stop it now, won’t try. Of course we are all in a lather over the Democratic National Convention. Denver is going to have big bright lights shining on it; we’re excited to see what will happen. Marczyk’s is jumping on the shameless self-promotion bandwagon with yard signs: Marczyk For Market. Vote Local. They’ll be ready soon, show us you care by putting one in your yard! The national press has been very nice, except for the NYT travel writer: “There’s no getting around Denver’s culinary specialty, red meat, the starring attraction at Old West-themed barbeque joints all over town.” Huh? Does anyone know what the hell this guy is talking about?
