Day 6
(Dec 14)

TODAY (Dec 14) ONLY:
SAVE $2 ON OUR MARKET-MADE STOLLEN AND SAVE $5/LOAF ON FILIPPI PANETTONE.

WHY DOESN'T "STOLLEN" HAVE AN UMLAUT OVER THE O?
Would it be even more delicious with an umlaut? We don't think so, because surpassing the deliciousness of our Stollen would be like one of the Labors of Hercules (slay the Nemean lion {check}; capture the Erymanthian boar {check}; make a Stollen more delicious than Marczyk's {yikes!}).
What is Stollen? It's a dense holiday bread with rum-soaked cherries and golden raisins; citrus zest; candied citrus peel; roasted slivered almonds; some nifty spices; lots of good juju. Then the whole thing is coated in sugar. Each loaf is around two pounds before baking.
Should you have it with coffee as part of an after-dinner delight? Definitely. Could you have some as part of a nutritious breakfast? Why not?
MARKET-MADE STOLLEN: $17.99/loaf (reg $19.99 — save $2!)
AND THEN THERE'S FILIPPI PANETTONE.
Panettone is a soft, buttery, fluffy, sweet Italian brioche bread that rises 3 times — almost 20 hours — before baking. The three different kinds have...
• candied orange peels and drops of dark chocolate (Arancia e Cioccolato: $27.99/ea today only — save $5)
• sweet, dark Morello cherries, candied lemon & orange peels, and candied apricots (Granfrutta: $34.99/ea today only — save $5)
• raisins and candied citrus peel (Classico: $30.99 today only — save $5)
