From around the world to just around the corner
Our cheese selection changes with the seasons. Spring blows in with raw milk cheeses from the mountains, flavored by the sweet, young grasses on which the cows feed. Summer is the perfect time for picnics with fruit and cheese plates, fall means beautiful, big wheels of aged cheddar from Neal’s Yard in England, and winter means the arrival of the King of Blues, Stilton, with a glass of port by the fire. No matter what the time of year, there is always something to get excited about in the Marczyk Cheese Shop!
Around the corner
We really love our local cheese producers. Colorado is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the cheese world, from old favorites like Haystack Mountain to brilliant, artisan newcomers like Fruition Farms Dairy, with their ethereally creamy and flavorful sheep's ricotta, which makes an appearance in our markets every spring. We even get the chance to visit some of our cheese producers who are nearby, like Broken Shovels goat farm just outside of Denver, where the goats are treated like members of the family and the chevre is unbelieveably creamy. We also offer a wide selection of domestic cheeses (not from around the corner, but from nearby states like California and Wisconsin) from Cypress Grove, Cowgirl Creamery, Carr Valley and so much more.
Around the world
Some of our very favorite cheeses come from very far away. We make sure to get our hands on all the best staples from around the globe, such as the King of Cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano, from Parma, Italy, or the tried and true cheese plate staple that just begs to be served with crusty bread and fig jam — Manchego from Spain. We bring in special shipments of cheese from Neal's Yard every year to give our customers a special treat and a taste of the English countryside. Get ready to wow your guests and ask us to help you put your next cheese plate together.
